28. Arizona Cardinals

Last week: 25th

There is not much the Arizona Cardinals can do this season but simply endure. The rebuilding year is going to be rough.

It doesn’t get much worse than what we saw from Arizona against the Detroit Lions, giving up 45 points and trying to save face late in the game with some garbage points and yards.

Shockingly (or maybe not), the Cardinals have now lost 9 straight home games. That’s pathetic. In combination with the fact that the organization threw in the towel on former 1st-round pick Marvin Harrison Jr., this weekend was just brutal for Arizona fans.

And right now, what is the silver lining? You can’t win at home; You don’t have a QB of the future; It’s been tough for Jeremiyah Love to get going; You just dumped a player who was supposed to be generational.

It’s rough times for the Cardinals right now.

27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Last Week: 30th

With their backs against the wall, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels came through with a clutch win on Thursday night against the Dallas Cowboys.

And this victory was brought to you by Bucky Irving.

While the rookie, Daniels, was obviously very efficient in this game, it was Irving and the Bucs defense that got Tampa Bay on the board for the first time this season. Irving racked up 165 rushing yards and a touchdown, catching another touchdown on one of his two receptions.

The Cowboys’ defense simply had no answer for him. He might still be running.

This was the obvious formula for success when the Bucs were playing really good football with Baker Mayfield at the quarterback position. Bucky Irving and that running game were lethal, and the defense was out there playing fast and creating takeaways.

We’ll see if they can build on the impressive upset over the Cowboys.
