Well, ladies and gentlemen, the week has finally come where no records were broken. Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season brought us a ton of great games and matchups, but nothing to speak of in terms of history-breaking moments. That said, there were a lot of players who marched closer to etching their names into the history books.
As of last week, there were TEN broken records and historic moments across the league. This week, there are no fewer than ten records that could be broken. How about that for a historic episode for the series?
We have a majority of those records coming from the top-10 of a specific statistical list this week. However, there are plenty of team-based historic moments that could take place in Week 6 of the NFL season. As always, here are the power rankings in order of which records are least likely to happen to most likely to happen.

10. Philadelphia Eagles all-time receptions record
The Philadelphia Eagles brought back a franchise legend earlier this season, who is nearing history for the franchise he is most known for. Of course, this player is Zach Ertz, a tight end who helped the City of Brotherly Love win its first Super Bowl. He is close to breaking the franchise record for most receptions by any Eagles player ever.
With eight receptions on Sunday, Ertz will break the current record, held by fellow legend Harold Carmichael, at 589 catches with the team. However, it will be a difficult task for the veteran tight end, as he plays against a well-rested Carolina Panthers squad that is coming off of its bye week. Additionally, Ertz faces more competition now that his longtime running mate Dallas Goedert is officially back from his knee injury.
