5. Los Angeles Chargers all-time rushing touchdowns by a quarterback record
We are still talking about the Los Angeles Chargers’ rushing touchdowns by a quarterback record in Week 6, in large part because the team refuses to help Justin Herbert. The man is playing hero ball out there, but is playing without any sidekicks in the passing attack. However, if Herbert manages to run his way into the end zone against the Chiefs on Sunday, the quarterback will break a tie with both John Hadl and Jack Kemp at 15 rushing touchdowns at the position, and set the franchise record for himself.
4. Mike Evans moves up the top-10 receiving touchdowns list
After catching a touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5 of the NFL season, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans moved his way closer to the top of the league history books in touchdown grabs. The veteran pass catcher currently finds himself in a tie for ninth place on the list with Tony Gonzalez, at 111 touchdown receptions. With just one more such score on Sunday, Evans will break the tie and move up to eighth place on the all-time leaderboard in that category.
3. Davante Adams moves up the top-10 receiving touchdowns list
Evans, however, is not the only player looking to move up the receiving touchdowns list in the league’s history, as Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams looks to do the same in that statistical category. With that being said, the veteran receiver is a fair amount higher on the list than his divisional foe to the north, and is looking to move into sixth place on the list. With one touchdown catch on Sunday, he will break his tie with legendary Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who is at 121 such scores.
Ironically enough, the Rams face the Cardinals on Sunday, meaning Adams could break Fitzgerald’s mark against the team the Hall of Fame wideout played his entire career on.
