8. Bryce Young, QB, Carolina Panthers

Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers are a fun team. Now 3-2 on the season, the Panthers appear to be in the driver's seat for the NFC South title for a second season in a row. Not necessarily a great team, the Panthers still do have some overall roster concerns.

With that being said, Young has continued his great play this year, as he is now up to 11 touchdown passes against just two interceptions. His 98.5 passer rating would easily be the best of his career. The completion percentage is lower at 60.2 percent, but the growth this year could not be more obvious.

Young has had no fewer than 281 passing yards in his games this year, so his raw yardage totals are just flat-out insane and could help his future MVP candidacy. Carolina would definitely have to begin stacking some wins, though, and would likely need to see double-digit wins and a legitimate breakout year from Young for him to get legitimate MVP votes.

7. Jared Goff, QB, Detroit Lions

Arguably the best QB in the NFL this year, Jared Goff lands at No. 7 in our power rankings, and he should probably be higher. Goff has 12 touchdown passes this year, a 111.3 passer rating, and zero interceptions. He's also completing 67 percent of his passes and has thrown no fewer than 269 yards over his last four games.

Goff has been an outstandingly efficient QB for years now, but he's not necessarily someone who plays the style of football that coincides with the social media era. He's not a flashy player with his legs and is a true pocket passer through and through.

Still, though, how do you not include Goff in these rankings? The Detroit Lions offense is flat-out awesome this year, and it's Goff who continues to be right in the middle of it all.
