10. Las Vegas Raiders
After ripping off three straight wins to start the season, the Las Vegas Raiders have come crashing back to earth a little bit with three straight losses.
They haven’t played terribly in those three losses, and what’s even more shocking is that they are 2-0 without Brock Bowers this season and just 1-3 with him back in the lineup. Not that he’s the problem, it just doesn’t make sense that they haven’t been able to keep the hot streak going with him on the field and looking as good as ever.
This Raiders team was always a work in progress defensively, but giving up 27, 30, 45, and 33 points in their last four games is a serious problem.Â
9. Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens are 4-2 to start this season, but it’s impossible to truly evaluate this team without Lamar Jackson in the lineup consistently.
With Tyler Huntley starting the past couple of games, we saw the Ravens endure and find a way to beat the previously red-hot Atlanta Falcons 30-23. They also completely laid an egg after getting out to a 10-0 lead against the Browns in Week 6.
Again, this is a tough team to try and figure out.
Even if you consider the Falcons win with a backup QB on the field, I’m not sure you can say the Ravens have a truly “impressive” win this season so far, especially the way the Cowboys bungled the game in Rio de Janeiro.Â
8. Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals are another team that has had some late-game blunders while simultaneously showing themselves to be possible contenders in the AFC.
There is a level of irrational confidence with this Bengals team due to the mere presence of players like Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins. Those guys carry so much of the weight with this team’s reputation, and it’s confusing to think about how warranted or unwarranted it is.
On the one hand, those guys are capable of dominating games together. On the other hand, the Bengals haven’t made the playoffs since the 2022 season. They are coming off a bye in Week 6, so they will be back in action against the Ravens (on the road) for a pivotal divisional showdown.
