5. Green Bay Packers, 5-3

The Packers did what they were supposed to do on Thursday Night Football and beat the Panthers at home. Now 5-3 on the season, the Packers have still managed to turn this season into something somewhat notable.

This team has dealt with a lot already, prmarily injuries, so the team being 5-3 at the halfway point is honestly an accomplishment. At the same time, the Packers' ceiling this year is going to be limited due to the injuries they have and their inability to run the football.

The Packers making a bold move for someone like Jonathan Taylor before the trade deadline would be wise. Right now, the Packers feel like a team that can finish with double-digit wins, but as it has been in each year that Jordan Love has started, the Packers feel like a Wild Card team.

4. Kansas City Chiefs, 5-1

The Kansas City Chiefs have had an easier schedule thus far, and their first 'real' test of the season came in Week 7 against the Seattle Seahawks. All the Chiefs did there was score 3 points and fail to get into the red zone.

Folks, if this team can't run the ball with Kenneth Walker III each week, they'll be an incredibly limited offense, and while Walker has been exceptional this year, the way he has started the season probably can't continue, as he's had an extremely heavy workload, has never been a work-horse running back, and could simply hit a regression at some point later this year.

The Chiefs did give themselves some nice buffer with their 5-1 start, but with a lack of a consistent threat at wide receiver, and no truly game-changing player on defense, the Chiefs might end up hitting a rough patch as their schedule toughens up in the coming weeks.
