3. Denver Broncos, 5-2
The Denver Broncos are 5-2 on the season and have had an incredibly tough schedule thus far, and it only just started to soften up with the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7. While some want to look at the offense as being a major concern, there are at least valid reasons why the unit really only looked good in Week 7 thus far.
Quarterback Bo Nix missed most of the offseason reps with his ankle recovery, and the Broncos already went through a play-caller change. Not to mention the excellent defenses they have also had to go against. Denver's offense will look a lot better in the coming weeks, and the team being 5-2 despite the tough slate is very impressive, as the offense has not come close to performing as they had in 2024 and 2025, the first two years of the Nix era.
2. Buffalo Bills, 5-1
The Buffalo Bills have an excellent offense, but a pathetic defense. With how good the offense can be thanks to Josh Allen, though, Buffalo is 5-1 on the season. You definitely want to see that defense get a little bit better as the season goes on, but as long as the Bills keep winning, I guess we can't really say much, right?
Allen can definitely play erratic at times, though, and if Buffalo is consistently needing shootouts to win, they could find themselves in a situation where Allen makes sloppy mistakes, which happens here and there.
1. Chicago Bears, 5-2
The Chicago Bears come in at No. 1 in our power rankings, as the Bears added Jeffery Simmons to the defensive line in a blockbuster deal, but the defense had already been playing a lot better this year!
It's clear that Chicago believes in their chances to win it all this year, and with Simmons entering the mix as an impact player along the defensive line that they had been missing, you really struggle to find a flaw with this team - could Chicago now be the most complete team in football?
