7. Jacksonville Jaguars single-season touchdown receptions by a rookie tight end record

Rookie records are a bit strange for each franchise. Some of them are astronomical numbers set way back in the day, while others might be from newer organizations who may not have had elite play from a particular position. Nonetheless, a record is a record, and Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Nate Boerkircher is officially on the hunt for it.

After hauling in his first career touchdown catch in London against the Houston Texans, Boerkircher sits just two more scores of the same manner from setting the record all to himself in Jaguars rookie lore. The reason he is at a better ranking than Bijan Robinson is that we know the role of Robinson; however, Boerkircher is receiving more snaps each week since the matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals game in Week 4. As such, he does not yet have a defined role, meaning he could be used more in the red zone, as we saw the last time Jacksonville played, which could result in Boerkircher passing both Pete Mitchell and Zach Miller, both with two touchdown catches, for the most ever by a Jaguars rookie sooner rather than later.

6. Miami Dolphins single-season rushing touchdowns by a quarterback record

Yes, we have only played seven weeks of football, and we are already talking about a single-season rushing touchdown record. Granted, it is at quarterback, but it is still a remarkable feat for a Miami Dolphins team that absolutely no one had any faith in because of the status of that position. Coming into the week, Malik Willis is coming off of his best game as a full-time starting quarterback and looks to carry on with that momentum.

If he replicates his performance from last week, Willis will come into a tie with several players, most recognizably Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jay Fiedler, for the single-season rushing touchdowns mark for the Dolphins franchise with four such scores. It will be against the division rival New England Patriots, who have had its fair share of struggles playing in Miami over the years, making anything possible for the record if Willis can recreate his level of play from last weekend.

5. Los Angeles Chargers rushing touchdowns by a quarterback record

Coming out of the bye, one of our favorite pastimes is back on record watch for the Los Angeles Chargers. Since the beginning of the season, Justin Herbert has been tied with Jack Kemp and John Hadl with 15 rushing touchdowns at the quarterback position. In the battle of Los Angeles on Sunday, Herbert could break the tie and be on top of the rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in the history of his franchise.

4. Atlanta Falcons receiving yards by a running back record

The second Atlanta Falcons record that could be broken by Bijan Robinson this weekend is receiving yards at the running back position. The superstar back is currently 75 such yards away from passing Devonta Freeman for the franchise record in that category. If he manages to do that and haul in a couple of touchdown passes against the Buccaneers this weekend, it could be a wildly historic day for the young running back.
