12. New York Jets, 2-5
Guys, I am not sure head coach Aaron Glenn is cut out to be a head coach in the NFL right now. He does not have a feel for the game, and you just struggle to see where he has left his mark on this team in a good way. The defense hasn't played well much at all during his tenure, and the Jets just seem to collapse in the second half.
Now 2-5 on the season, it feels like another year where it's 'the same old Jets.' Glenn has to be on the hot seat, and with a trio of first-round picks in the 2027 NFL Draft, I am not sure you can justify keeping Glenn around for another year with the possibility of three first-round rookies entering the equation.
11. Las Vegas Raiders, 3-4
Now losers of four in a row, we're beginning to see why the Las Vegas Raiders 3-0 start was nothing more than a honeymoon. Quarterback Kirk Cousins has honestly not played horribly this year, but he's a very limited player and isn't going to do anything but stand in the pocket.
The defense has looked poorly coached as of late, and the Raiders are also not seeing Ashton Jeanty do anything of note in year two. All in all, the Raiders being 3-4 still keeps them in a decent spot given the circumstances, but they're trending in the wrong direction and might have to give Fernando Mendoza a shot sometime soon.
10. Houston Texans, 2-5
The Houston Texans, at 2-5, have a point differential of -5. The 5-2 Cleveland Browns and 3-4 Raiders have a worse point differential. It's been a very odd year for the Texans, who come in at No. 9 in our AFC Power Rankings. The Texans are seeing fourth-year QB CJ Stroud play what could be the best football of his career, but this once-elite defense is anything but, and the regression has been absolutely wild to witness.
With the offense in a good spot based on how Stroud is playing, all that is really missing from this team is the defense to hold up their end up the bargain, but with Houston already three games under .500, this could simply be who they are this year.
9. Cleveland Browns, 5-2
Cleveland might not be a great team, as they have a negative point differential, but this team is closing out games and are getting immediate results from first year head coach, Todd Monken. Currently in first in the AFC North, the Browns actually land a No. 9 in our power rankings.
There is some 'house money' at play here with the Browns, and while Deshaun Watson has not been bad this year, he's not been all that good.
