14. Arizona Cardinals, 2-5
The Arizona Cardinals are 2-5 on the season and should probably make a QB change soon, as nothing is going to happen as long as Jacoby Brissett is starting, and it really cannot hurt to give rookie Carson Beck some looks.
The Cardinals were able to beat the Los Angeles Rams a couple of weeks ago, but then got blown out at home by the Denver Broncos. Both sides of the ball are rather underwhelming at this point, and when you have years of poor roster-building and no franchise QB in place yet, this is what you get.
You can't really blame the coaching staff right now, as the front office has just flat-out dropped the ball. The Cardinals were also the last team to hire a head coach this past cycle, and I do believe that proves how undesirable this franchise was.
13. New Orleans Saints, 2-5
I may have been wrong about the New Orleans Saints. Only 2-5 on the season, you don't get the sense that head coach Kellen Moore and his staff is the right group for this franchise. After winning four of five games to end the 2025 season, the Saints surely came into this year with higher expectations.
And while the NFC South is still wide open, and the Saints are only one game out of it in the win column, the franchise just has not taken that next step after a semi-encouraging 2025 season. As of now, the Saints aren't really a team to pay too much attention to unless they can find a way to go on a mid-season surge.
For the time being, the Saints take the No. 13 spot in our updated NFC rankings. There is a chance they figure something out, but it would have to begin almost immediately.
