6. Los Angeles Rams, 3-4
I would not be totally out on the Los Angeles Rams right now, as they did seem to find something sustainable on offense in Week 7, as they were much more balanced with their run-pass splits and did lean more on Blake Corum and Kyren Williams, very easily the best running back duo in the NFL right now.
Matthew Stafford is still probably a very good QB, but dropping him back 40+ times a game is not going to work, especially with Davante Adams now being out for an extended period of time. The Rams continuing to lean on the run game is going to be huge, and it's going to extend drives and also help out the defense, which will be a good unit in the end, as they're simply too talented not to be.
All in all, the 3-4 record is a major disappointment, as some may have thought it would have been more likely to have seen a 7-0 start thus far, but the Rams are going to go on a run here and stack some wins.
5. Detroit Lions, 4-2
The Detroit Lions might just have the very best QB in the NFL right now in Jared Goff, who has yet to throw an interception. We're approaching Week 8 and he has not thrown an interception! Not one!
The defense can sack the QB at a high level, which is neat, and with the return of Brian Branch and perhaps Kerby Joseph in the near future, we could finally see the Lions at full strength in the near future. It's still early, but the Lions are in a good position to peak as the regular season ends, which could set them up very nicely for a playoff run.
This is a very good team and one of the more talented squads in football.
