8. Jacksonville Jaguars

Last week: 6th

Jaguars were on a bye in Week 7***

Coming off a loss in Week 6, the Jacksonville Jaguars had a bit of a sour taste in their mouths heading back to the States from their extended stay in London.

Even though they didn’t have a game in Week 7, the Jaguars somehow still came away one of the biggest winners of the entire weekend.

It’s one thing to hate-watch your division rivals, but to watch every single one of them lose in heartbreaking fashion? It was a satisfying weekend for Jaguars fans, there is no question about it.

The Titans lost on a field goal after blowing a 14-0 lead. The Texans lost to the Giants in overtime. The Colts blew it with a Daniel Jones interception late against the Vikings. The only thing that could have made the weekend better for Jags fans is the Jags actually winning, but this is as good as it gets on the bye.

7. Cincinnati Bengals

Last week: 8th

The Bengals, believe it or not, were completely shut out in the first half of their game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

They ended up winning 35-10.

The Bengals absolutely dominated the second half against the Ravens 35-0, and Joe Burrow could not have been more locked in. He threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers in the second half, getting everyone involved.

This was about as clean of a game as you can possibly play from an operational standpoint, especially in the second half. The Bengals were only called for one penalty in the entire game, which has to be some kind of record this season. They were also 5-for-5 in the red zone.

It was truly a tale of two halves for the Bengals, but that second half performance was good enough to potentially jumpstart something special for this team going forward.
