30. Miami Dolphins
Last week: 32nd
The Miami Dolphins notched their first win of the season in Week 7, and the first win of the Jeff Hafley era.
And it was a well-earned, well-deserved win on top of it.
Although the talent gap between the Dolphins and other teams has been obvious throughout the 2026 season, we’ve also seen the coaching job done by Hafley and his staff yield some solid results on the field in terms of the way this team has been fighting.
Against the Jets, the Dolphins built a lead in the 2nd half, they added some insurance with a huge play from Malik Willis to Caleb Douglas, and then they went into protect mode. It has to feel good for the Dolphins, going on the road and beating a division rival, making some big plays in the process.
The rookie class for this team has really been something else so far this season.
29. Indianapolis Colts
Last week: 27th
The Indianapolis Colts’ defense gave it a great effort against the undefeated Minnesota Vikings, but another loss for this team probably sends them directly into fire sale mode.
General manager Chris Ballard is already gone. The Colts have already sent signals that players could be available for trade, but a little more losing was needed first. Now, they can dive headfirst into some future planning.
Daniel Jones is not the long-term answer at quarterback. This team doesn’t have a 1st-round pick in 2027. Things are probably about to get worse before they get better for the Colts, and that’s the bandage they just need to rip off.
It might be time to say goodbye to the likes of DeForest Buckner, Jonathan Taylor, Quenton Nelson, and others.
