8. Jordan Love/Matt LaFleur, Green Bay Packers
Given all that the Green Bay Packers have gone through this year, it is quite something that they're 5-3 and right in the mix in the NFC North and in the NFC. While the injuries have piled up, and the offensive line has been flat-out horrible, Jordan Love and Matt LaFleur have this Packers team playing better than we thought.
The Packers also can't really run the ball at all. This team ranks 32nd, dead last, in rushing yards per game. They are the only team averaging fewer than 75 rushing yards. Love has 16 passing touchdowns against six interceptions this year and is still producing at a high level despite not having much help anywhere. This team won't win the Super Bowl and likely won't win the division, but if not for Love and LaFleur, the Packers' record would be flipped and this team would be forgettable.
The NFC North duo comes in at No. 8 in our power rankings.
7. Patrick Mahomes/Andy Reid, Kansas City Chiefs
It's not been pretty at times this year, and the duo is riding a two-game losing streak, but Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid are still doing Mahomes and Reid things, for the most part. The Kansas City Chiefs have some pretty obvious personnel issues on offense with their tackle play and wide receiver play, but this team is still 5-2 and very much live across the board in the AFC.
The Chiefs rank an efficient but modest 11th in points scored, and Mahomes does have 12 touchdown passes against four interceptions, so he has played well and has largely taken care of the football. The issues with the Chiefs personnel likely doesn't fall on Mahomes or Reid, so there is no use in using those deficiencies to argue against this duo.
As of now, it would be a massive shock if the Chiefs missed the playoffs, as they're already approaching their win total from the entirety of the 2025 season. Mahomes has also avoided sacks at a high level this year, as he has taken just nine in seven games
