4. Jared Goff/Dan Campbell, Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions rank 3rd in the NFL, scoring 29 points per game. Jared Goff has also been outstanding this year. He has thrown 15 touchdown passes against just one interception and probably needs to be taken more seriously as an MVP candidate this year. Goff has been playing out of his mind ever since arriving in Detroit back in 2021, but Goff not being a legitimate playmaker at the position like the Allens and Lamar Jacksons of the world has him continually underrated.
Dan Campbell is also one of the more reliable head coaches in the league. The Lions have finished with winning records four years in a row, and their 5-2 start this year should have you confident that 2026 will turn into a playoff season. There just aren't many flaws with Goff or Campbell. Both are very easily top-10 at what they do, and with how well Goff has played this year, he probably deserves way more attention than he is getting at the moment.
3. Joe Burrow/Zac Taylor, Cincinnati Bengals
Ranking 2nd in points scored per game, the Cincinnati Bengals duo comes in at No. 3 in our power rankings. Joe Burrow has been another MVP-caliber QB this year. He leads the NFL with 20 passing touchdowns and also leads QBs with a 73 percent completion percentage. When Burrow gets going like this, there aren't many better players in the sport than Burrow.
Zac Taylor has been a fine head coach for much of his career, and while he has never ascended into that top tier, there are far worse head coaches. Cincy is 5-2 on the season and are probably the best team in the AFC North. Burrow and Taylor have made multiple deep playoff runs together, and as the Bengals cross the halfway point of the season, you get the sense that this team is perfectly capable of a deep run.
Burrow himself is likely going to receive some MVP votes, if not win the award.
