8. Cleveland Browns
For most of the 2026 season, we’ve all been waiting for the clock to strike midnight on this Browns team. And it seems like we’re starting to hear the chimes.
After jumping out to a 5-2 start this season, the Browns got beat badly last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and now starting quarterback Deshaun Watson is expected to miss at least a game with a concussion.
Things could unravel quickly unless Shedeur Sanders is able to pull off the miraculous against the Saints on the road this weekend. And maybe we’re not giving the Browns’ defense enough credit. That unit has played well enough this season to warrant a little more faith, but I’m selling pretty much any remaining Browns stock before their game against the Saints.
7. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers just keep on winning, and I keep on doubting.
That’s our relationship this year.
The Steelers are one of those teams that just isn’t passing my own eye test, yet it doesn’t really matter. This feels like the latest version of the same type of team we’ve gotten used to seeing, doesn’t it?
Maybe not to Steelers fans.
How does this script end? The Steelers reach the playoffs after winning 9 or 10 games (maybe more at this point…), only to get quickly bounced by a much better team.
Would that be a surprising outcome to anybody? The Steelers are in a race for a pretty tight division as everything stands, but it might quickly become just them and the Bengals for the AFC North. They’re on a bye this week, and have a chance to watch everyone else beat each other up before an absolutely massive game against the Bengals in Week 10.
