26. New York Jets (2-6)

How many times do we need to talk about the New York Jets getting totally outclassed in the second half of a game? It happened again in Week 8. The Jets had a 23-14 lead at the break, but Las Vegas outscored them 24-10 in the second half to win by five points.

This is just a brutal, brutal tenure for Aaron Glenn, who very clearly does not ‘have it’ as a head coach in this league. His teams are consistently getting boatraced late in games, and given that Glenn is a defensive mind, you would think that halfway through year two would see him leaving his mark on that side of the ball, right?

Of course the answer is yes, but it has not happened, and it probably won’t, either. The Jets offense has been very fun this year, and Braelon Allen has looked awesome, but the Jets have a significant head coaching issue, and the longer they wait around to make the move, the worse off they will be.

The Jets fall in our power rankings.

25. Philadelphia Eagles (2-6)

Philadelphia played on Sunday Night Football

The Philadelphia Eagles play on Sunday Night Football this week against the Washington Commanders, and will probably lose this game. Unfortunately, this has already been a season to forget for the Eagles, as this team has been dealing with a ton of injuries this year, and with quarterback Jalen Hurts out for the year, along with the plethora of other injuries, there really isn’t a path for Philly to do much the rest of the way.

They have lost five games in a row entering Week 8 and probably have a sixth loss in a row coming. If nothing else, at least Washington is healthier, despite both teams being flat-out bad.

Update: The Eagles lost and are now losers of six games in a row. This team does have a good bit of roster talent, but it's clear that the plethora of injuries are catching up to them in a big way.
