12. Carolina Panthers

After an absolute debacle against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers two weeks ago, the Panthers likely knew they were going to fire defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero. They officially let him go after another letdown of a game against the Green Bay Packers.

This Carolina team has invested heavily -- both via the NFL Draft and free agency -- in that defense. It's taken a handful of years, but they finally decided that the scheme was the problem.

With a new defensive coordinator in place for Week 9, the Panthers are welcoming the Denver Broncos to town, and they're going to have to hope their group of injury replacements all over the secondary can hang with a Broncos team that has found some life offensively over the past couple of games.

11. Dallas Cowboys

When I tell you that the Dallas Cowboys are hanging on by a thread...

The Cowboys just suffered one of the most embarrassing losses by any team this entire season. They blew a 24-10 lead -- at home -- against the Arizona Cardinals after Jacoby Brissett was benched for Gardner Minshew. Minshew pulled every trick out of his bag, and torched the Dallas defense for three touchdowns.

It gets better.

In overtime, the Cowboys got a 3-and-out, setting them up perfectly to at least go win the game with a field goal. The problem? The Cowboys also went 3-and-out.

The loss in Week 8 to the Cardinals has the Cowboys' season hanging on by a thread heading into their Week 9 matchup against a hopeless Colts team.
