4. Baltimore Ravens, 2-1
Thanks to some bad in-game management near the end of the Baltimore vs. Dallas Brazil clash, the Ravens were able to line up and kick the game-winning field goal as time expired. Baltimore is now 2-1 on the season and are off to a solid start in the Minter era.
This team is as talented as any in the NFL, but we have seen this late-game reputation still stick. The Ravens have definitely been a team that typically crumbles late in games, but, luckily, the Cowboys did that more in Week 3.
Baltimore dealt with a ton of injuries last year and weren't able to rebound from them in time to get into the playoffs. Despite starting 1-5, they did manage to finish 8-9. There really is no denying that the Ravens can be among the best in the NFL, as that has been the case for much of the Lamar Jackson era.
3. Kansas City Chiefs, 3-0
I do believe quality of wins matters in this league. The Chiefs needed overtime to get past the Colts at home in Week 2, and in Week 3, it took the team into the fourth quarter to put away the Dolphins. Yes, the Chiefs are 3-0, but I am not sure they have these amazing wins.
Beating the Broncos in Week 1 was impressive, but Denver's historically bad missed tackles certainly contributed to that outcome. The Chiefs still feel like a very good football team, but a below-average group of playmakers on offense coupled with limited talent on defense does make you wonder how many games this team can win in 2026.
With largely the same roster last year, the Chiefs went just 6-8 in Patrick Mahomes' starts before his knee injury.
For the time being, Kansas City comes in at No. 3 in our AFC power rankings.
