2. Denver Broncos, 2-1
The Broncos come in at No. 2 in our AFC power rankings. After losing in blowout fashion to the Chiefs in Week 1, all the Broncos did was defeat Jacksonville and the Los Angeles Rams in Weeks 2 and 3. Those are two major wins for the team after an embarrassing showing in Week 1.
It's pretty obvious that Week 1 was a massive liar when talking about the Broncos. The team missed tackles at a historic rate and just did not do anything well. Rebounding with a nice two-game winning streak against two formidable teams does help Denver out in our rankings.
The Broncos first-half offense is pathetic, but that also does make you think that this team could be truly special if they can somehow figure out how to put more than three points on the board in the first half.
Denver has scored 50 points over the past two games, and 47 of those points have come in the second half. With two major wins over juggernauts, and the team keeping up their late-game heroics from a year ago, the Broncos of last year might also be the Broncos of this year.
1. Buffalo Bills, 3-0
It's hasn't always been pretty for the Buffalo Bills, but they are now 3-0 with some solid wins. They've beaten Houston, Detroit, and the Los Angeles Chargers so far. They needed a ton of points against the Texans and Lions, but then got into a sloppy dogfight against the Bolts.
It does show that Buffalo can win in shootouts and in lower scoring affairs. The defense is still a concern, and we did see Josh Allen return to human form, but you can't start better than 3-0 through three weeks, so the Bills top our power rankings.
