10. Washington Commanders, 1-2
The Washington Commanders have not had much success since the start of the 2025 season, as the team dealt with a ton of injuries last year and just did not have much talent to begin with. We saw the Commanders get active in free agency this offseason, which is what needed to happen, but now, the team will be without QB Jayden Daniels, as he dislocated his elbow again.
There should be some level of concern with Daniels' durability, as he played in just seven games last year and will now not play in all 17. When Daniels is on the field, he is quite good and plays like a franchise QB, but that's the issue.
Washington needs to get Daniels back on the field as soon as he's able and honestly hope that he and this team can somehow find that spark they found during the 2024 NFL Season. For the time being, this team is buried in our power rankings.
9. Dallas Cowboys, 1-2
It unfortunately seems to be more of the same for the Dallas Cowboys - the offense has no issues putting up a ton of points, but the defense continues to be among the worst in the sport despite a major offseason of personnel and schematic changes.
It's really a sad reality, as this offense is good enough to play deep into the playoffs, but the defense just can't seem to figure anything out. The Cowboys should probably at least be 2-1 right now, but the bright side here is that there is a lot of season left, and none of the other squads in the NFC East look all that threatening.
Dallas can capture this division in 2026, but the defense needs to get figured out. It's really as simple as that.
