AFC East
Buffalo Bills: 11-6
The Buffalo Bills know how to win football games, and that isn't changing in the 2026 season, even with a new head coach. Joe Brady is now in this role, replacing Sean McDermott, but Brady had already been with the franchise, and with the addition of wide receiver DJ Moore, QB Josh Allen now has a legitimate, consistent weapon at the top of the depth chart to rely on for the future.
New England Patriots: 10-7
The New England Patriots schedule gets a lot harder this year, and this is absolutely a valid talking point. The Patriots are a very good team and also might have the league's next superstar QB, but winning 14 games is an incredibly tough feat and does leave razor thin margins for error, so a tougher schedule and a regression to the mean could both contribute to the Patriots not winning quite as much as last year.
Miami Dolphins: 4-13
The Miami Dolphins are obviously rebuilding, and a 4-13 record prediction does fall in line with that. With extremely limited talent all over the place, the Dolphins struggle to win much but clinch a very high pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, which could bring the major QB break this team needs in the post-Tua Tagovailoa era.
New York Jets: 4-13
The New York Jets did get a lot better on paper this offseason and do have some solid young talent on offense, but the defense is certainly a mystery, at best, and head coach Aaron Glenn looked solidly overwhelmed in his first year on the job, so this could still be a tough lift for Glenn despite the offense getting better in the offseason.
The Jets do have a trio of first-rond picks next April, so there could be some major help coming next season...
