NFC Playoff Teams

1. San Francisco 49ers (6-1)

Despite a ton of injuries, the San Francisco 49ers are 6-1 and are the No. 1 seed in the NFC right now. They would earn the first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, and this team has already made two Super Bowls in the Kyle Shanahan era.

2. Minnesota Vikings (6-1)

The Minnesota Vikings have somewhat significant QB concerns, as Kyler Murray just has not worked out this year, and there is a non-zero chance that Carson Wentz is a better option. While the Vikings are 6-1, not figuring the QB position out could quickly turn their season upside down.

3. New York Giants (4-2-1)

The New York Giants are likely going to ride it out with JJ McCarthy, who came in for Jameis Winston, who came in for Jaxson Dart. Already on their third starting QB of the season, the Giants are a fun story but aren't a serious playoff contender. With that said, the NFC East being as weak as it is could give the Giants a chance to squeeze into the playoffs.

4. Carolina Panthers (3-4)

The Carolina Panthers have lost two in a row right after winning two in a row. Failing to take that next step thus far in 2026, the Panthers have to quickly figure something out if they want to win the NFC South for a second season in a row.

5. Chicago Bears (6-2)

The Chicago Bears could end up being the most threatening Wild Card team in the NFL if they fail to win the division, but it's hard to look at the Bears and not think that this is the most complete team in the NFC North.

6. Detroit Lions (5-2)

The Detroit Lions are 5-2 and are beginning to see the defense play better. If that remains the case, the Lions could have something to say in the North.

7. Green Bay Packers (5-3)

The Green Bay Packers currently have the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks on their tails in the standings. The Packers injuries could catch up to them late in the season, especially if Los Angeles and/or Seattle figure things out.
