Wild Card Round

AFC

(7) New England Patriots @ (2) Denver Broncos

The Broncos would have some chance at revenge here, and seeing how close it was in the AFC Championship Game last year without Bo Nix, this could end up being a rather sweatless Denver win in the first round of the playoffs.

Prediction: Broncos win

(6) Cincinnati Bengals @ (3) Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars beat the Bengals earlier this year, but the Bengals do have more playoff success in the Joe Burrow era. Burrow is a QB who seems to play better as the stakes get higher, and that could be the difference in this one.

Prediction: Bengals win

(5) Kansas City Chiefs @ (4) Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers would have their hands full with the Chiefs, one of the most successful NFL teams of the 21st century. Short of what would surely be a major upset, the Chiefs would likely take care of business against the Steelers.

Prediction: Chiefs win

NFC

(7) Green Bay Packers @ (2) Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota's top-notch defense would be way too much for the Packers to handle in the playoffs. While the Packers might have the QB advantage, that actually does not matter in our predictions. Vikings win this one.

Prediction: Vikings win

(6) Detroit Lions @ (3) New York Giants

The Giants making the playoffs would be a fun story, but this team is not a legitimate contender. Detroit would win this one rather easily and move on the Divisional Round.

Prediction: Lions win

(5) Chicago Bears @ (4) Carolina Panthers

Chicago has already beaten Carolina this year, and I reckon the same result would happen if these two teams met in the playoffs. The Bears might be able to win it all this year, so taking care of the Panthers would be no issue here.

Prediction: Bears win
