10. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

Matthew Stafford has thrown an interception in every game this year and has also thrown four interceptions over his last two games. He simply doesn’t look nearly as good as he did last year when he won the MVP, and you just have to wonder if a regression is here. Despite how inefficient Stafford has been, the Los Angeles Rams are 2-2, and the arrow has to be pointing up following their Week 4 comeback victory over Philadelphia.

Their primetime showdown against Buffalo is going to tell us a lot about this team, as I am not sure I am alone in thinking that they have underachieved thus far. He’s barely completing over 60 percent of his passes and does turn 39 years old before the Super Bowl this year.

Monday Night Football’s result is going to be a big one to pay attention to. If this ends up being a ‘vintage’ Stafford outing, a lot of these concerns will go away, but if he’s again struggling, we may have to have some tough conversations.

9. Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers

Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers are on the bye this week. Through four games, the Panthers are 2-2 and have gotten some awesome returns from the offensive side of the ball, as Young looks like a borderline MVP candidate through the first month of the season.

The defense has not held up their end of the bargain, but there is always a chance that unit simply plays better as the season rolls on.

The Panthers are a fun team, and Young playing his best football in year four proves how important it is to have the necessary patience with certain players, but especially QBs. Young may very well be their long-term QB, and he’s proving it so far in the 2026 season.

Repeating as NFC South champions would really go a long way in this team investing into Young for the long-term.
