30. Malik Willis, Miami Dolphins

I saw this on Twitter/X the other day, and I wish I could find it, as it’s not my original thought, but someone had tweeted out and rhetorically asked why the Dolphins went out and paid Malik Willis this offseason, and I tend to agree.

What are they trying to accomplish? Willis is a bad starting QB, and he’s going to look horrendous in this talentless offense that the Dolphins have. It’s really that simple. Yes, they are in stage one of a rebuild, but that doesn’t make it any less ridiculous.

Willis is going to be a high-end backup in this league for years to come, but this current stint as the Dolphins starting QB just feels totally unfair for the veteran QB. He has some fun tools with his legs and does have the arm strength to threaten all levels of the field, but this really feels like a lose-lose situation for Willis.

Hey, at least he got paid!

29. Tyler Huntley, Baltimore Ravens

With Lamar Jackson out for Week 5, he’ll temporarily fall out of our QB power rankings. Tyler Huntley gets the start for the Baltimore Ravens. Huntley is a reliable backup, but he’s obviously nothing close to how good Jackson is.

He owns a 5-6 record in 11 career starts for the Ravens, and in those starts, he has 10 touchdowns against seven interceptions for an 83.5 passer rating. All things considered, Huntley is a reliable backup coming in at a key time for the Ravens.

Getting a win over Atlanta in primetime would be huge, as the Falcons suddenly seem like a formidable team. With that said, Huntley is a backup for a reason, so the Ravens may need a very heavy dose of running back Derrick Henry if they hope to win this one.
