8. Kirk Cousins, Las Vegas Raiders

Kirk Cousins has played really well for the Las Vegas Raiders this year. Cousins and the Raiders have lost three games in a row, but Cousins already has 14 touchdown passes through six games.

He has completed 63.4 percent of his passes, so his completion percentage could certainly be higher, and outside of being able to win from the pocket, Cousins doesn't offer much of anything in terms of extending plays.

With that said, he has won from the pocket consistently this year and appears to be in a position to start the entire season if the Raiders really want to take Fernando Mendoza's development slowly.

7. Drake Maye, New England Patriots

Through seven games, Drake Maye has definitely found his groove again, but he does have eight interceptions in those seven games and is putting the ball in harm's way too much. The New England Patriots lost on Thursday Night Football and are also now 4-3 on the year.

Already with as many losses this year as last year, Maye and the Patriots still appear to be a formidable team, but a slight regression is present. Maye has definitely shown flashes of his 2025 form the past few weeks this year, but going forward, the third-year QB really needs to put his stamp on things.

Throwing fewer interceptions and again leading the Patriots to the playoffs would unquestionably give this team a reason to extend Maye and make him a long-term part of their future.

6. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson has missed two games this year and is again dealing with an injury, which has been an unfortunate theme throughout much of his career. Due to his dynamic style of play, Jackson is more vulnerable than other QBs with these minor injuries.

Jackson is the only starting QB in the AFC with fewer than 100 passing attempts, but Jackson is also able to produce at a very high level without having to be a high-volume passer. He's No. 6 in our power rankings as Week 7 hits.

5. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen is doing his thing again, but his TD:INT ratio of 9:1 is nothing special, and his has shown signs of that erratic play this year already.

The Buffalo Bills are 5-1 this year, but Allen will need to button up his play as the season roll on, and he should be able to.
