4. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
Thanks to running back Kenneth Walker III playing at an MVP level, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has not had to do a whole lot this year, but he's definitely been his normal self when needed.
Mahomes has just 158 passing attempts this year, which is good for 14th in the conference. He does have ninie touchdown passes this year and a 103.1 passer rating, so he's produced at an efficient level.
But until Walker cools off, we just won't see Mahomes dropping back a whole lot, as the run game is taking a ton of pressure off the rest of the unit thus far.
3. CJ Stroud, Houston Texans
CJ Stroud has played his tail off this year and is absolutely playing himself into a contract extensino. Stroud has nine touchdown passes against just one interception, boasting a 100.9 passer rating and a very healthy 65.7 QBR.
Houston has suddenly won two games in a row and likely have a third win in a row coming in Week 7 against the New York Giants. Stroud has also produced at a high level despite not having much of a run game or a reliable offensive line.
He truly has taken a jump this year and might be playing better this year than he did as a rookie back in 2023.
2. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
Despite the loss in Week 6, Trevor Lawrence is still playing lights-out for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Lawrence has 14 touchdown passes this year, which is tied for the most in the conference. The Jaguars also just have not lost much since the final six weeks of 2025.
Lawrence is clearly hitting his stride with Liam Coen and has quickly turned into one of the better QBs in the NFL in 2026.
1. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
Joe Burrow tops our power rankings of AFC QBs with Week 7 here. Burrow has completed 71.4 percent of his passes, which is the best mark in the conference. He's also averaging over 270 passing yards per game and has a 104.4 passer rating and 73.7 QBR.
The neat thing with Burrow is that he's essentially the entirety of the Cincinnati Bengals offense, as Cincy just does not run the ball a heck of a lot due to how good Burrow can be as a high-volume player, and until he can't operate this way, the Bengals will continue to put the ball in his hands. His efficiency, processing, and ability in the pocket are all Hall of Fame-caliber.
