12. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos will play the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football. Given how much more talent the Broncos have over the Chiefs, Denver should win this one, and while this may seem a bit out of hand to say - Nix was better than his QB opponent last year in Patrick Mahomes.
The Broncos were winning games because of Nix, as he constantly led game-winning drives and helped the Broncos wrap up the AFC West title for the first time since 2015. What really needs to be said with Nix is that his impact to the Broncos goes well beyond what you see on the stat sheet, and e team’s AFC Championship Game performance without Nix also proves that.
With Jaylen Waddle in the mix, Nix could enjoy, rather easily, the most productive passing season of his career, and even if the Broncos fall on MNF, their long-term chances to win the division for a second year in a row feel rather high.
11. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
So, that happened. The Chicago Bears put up 59 points on the Panthers’ defense in Week 1. Yes, 59 points!
Chicago scored at least 14 points in all four quarters, but their defense did allow 37 points, so that is a concern.
What is odd is that Caleb Williams only tossed two touchdowns through the air despite leading the offense to nearly 59 points, but he did add 65 rushing yards and another two touchdowns. The Bears had two 100-yard rushers, and three receivers with at least 50 yards.
All in all, the Bears put up 552 total yards and averaged nearly eight yards per play. Chicago isn’t going to score 59 points each week, but if this is some of what we get in 2026, Chicago could genuinely win the Super Bowl, and Williams could win the MVP.
Williams does have the overall skill set to emerge as a top QB in this league, and some may already think he’s there. The big thing with Williams could be playing a more polished brand of football, getting that completion percentage up, and also having a stronger command of the offense.
Week 1 appears to be all of that trending in the right direction.
