14. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos

It was looking like it might be another brutal game for Bo Nix in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars…
Until it wasn’t.
Nix and the Broncos came storming back in the second half against a Jacksonville team that had previously been steamrolling almost everyone they played (with the exception of Josh Allen in the playoffs last season).
Nix threw for an impressive 288 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 rough interception in a goal-to-go situation. It’s not a coincidence that Nix and the Broncos’ offense were unlocked when they decided to make a concerted effort to get Jaylen Waddle the ball. Waddle had 8 receptions for 138 yards in Denver’s win over the Jaguars, and we saw a much more confident Bo Nix in this game compared to the guy we saw out there struggling to find anything against Kansas City on Monday night.
13. CJ Stroud, Houston Texans
Last week: 10th
CJ Stroud undoubtedly missed Nico Collins in Week 2, because the Texans were an abysmal 0-for-4 in the red zone, and 0-for-4 on 4th downs.
Stroud threw a whopping 55 passes in the Texans’ Week 2 loss against the Bengals, but his 353 passing yards ended up leading to zero touchdowns.
In the process, he at least made some history. He’s the first quarterback in league history to throw for 350-plus yards and no interceptions in a game in which his team scored fewer than 10 points. That’s not the kind of history you want to be making, I’m afraid.
The Texans’ offense showed some life against Buffalo in Week 1, so when they have a healthy Nico Collins, I’m still optimistic they can figure something out as the season goes along. But this was a rough one.
