8. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

There’s no doubt that Trevor Lawrence has to drop down a notch after his performance against the Denver Broncos.
Dating back to the midway point of last season, there were few quarterbacks in the NFL on a heater as white hot as Trevor Lawrence. He started off this season with four touchdown passes to four different receivers against the Cleveland Browns, but he ran into a bit of a buzzsaw in Denver on Sunday.
Although Lawrence made some incredible throws against the Broncos, he also telegraphed a number of passes, especially in the second half. He threw a really rough interception to Riley Moss to help spark the Broncos’ come-from-behind win, and nearly threw another pair of interceptions to Moss and Ja’Quan McMillian.
What goes up must eventually come down, and this was a game where Lawrence came crashing back to earth a bit. Playing in a hostile environment against an elite defense with a chip on its shoulder isn’t a reason to bury his season. He can bounce back in a hurry with a big game against a very stingy Patriots defense in Week 3.
7. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

You absolutely knew the offensive onslaught was coming for the Cowboys in Week 2 against the Commanders.
Last season, few teams were as dominant at home offensively as the Dallas Cowboys, and they picked up right where they left off.
And by they, I mean Dak Prescott.
Prescott entered this season as an MVP candidate in my book, and he looked like an MVP playing against the Commanders. He was absolutely surgical on Sunday, completing 26-of-31 pass attempts for 279 yards, 4 touchdowns, and no interceptions.
He added 26 rushing yards on four attempts for good measure.
Prescott was locked in with CeeDee Lamb in this game, connecting for 8 passes, 153 yards, and a pair of touchdowns. He also threw a pair of touchdowns to Jake Ferguson. He passed Tony Romo for the most touchdown passes in Cowboys history as well.
