4. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
After a great first week beating up on the Browns defense, Trevor Lawrence returned to earth in Week 2, as the Broncos defense gave him fits. Thanks to his high-end game in Week 1, Lawrence still has 434 passing yards, four touchdowns, and one interception in two weeks.
The Jaguars saw their nine-game winning streak come to an end, but that should not take away from just how awesome Lawrence has been since around midseason 2025. Lawrence is actually averaving 8.3 yards per passing attempt, which ranks 4th in the AFC, and since about halfway through 2025, he’s been a top-7 QB in the sport.
Jacksonville is still well-positioned to win a ton of games this year, and one shaky start from Lawrence in a hostile environment does not mean he doesn’t deserve to be ranked high, as he’s still been among the best in the AFC this year.
I do have some broader concerns about the overall talent of the Jaguars roster in terms of being able to play a deep playoff run, but if Lawrence can play well the entire season, you just never know how far this team can go.
3. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
You just have to love what you’ve seen if you’re a Cincinnati Bengals fan through two weeks, Not only does the offense look awesome, as usual, but the defense has been sensational and has actually been a reason why this team is winning games.
Yes, we’re through just two weeks, and it’s not perfect, but the fans and much of the rest of the NFL world were clamoring for the team to get better on that side of the ball, and it seems to have happened.
Burrow is completing 68.2 percent of his passes for 461 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. He unsurprisingly has a high QBR and passer rating. As long as Burrow is healthy and on the field, he’s going to bring high-end production to the Bengals offense.
Having Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins helps, but Burrow is also a sensational player - he’s among the very best pocket passers the league has seen in quite some time, and he does have five playoff wins in just two career appearances.
As long as he’s on the field and the defense does not bottom out this year, the Bengals should be able to win the AFC North and make a deep playoff run. Burrow takes the No. 3 spot in our AFC QB power rankings as Week 3 ramps up.
