12. Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers
Since the Buccaneers met the contract demands of Baker Mayfield, he's looked rather awful.
That's not to say he's been all bad, but it's been a brutal start to the season for Mayfield. He had three fumbles in a Week 1 loss against the Bengals, then couldn't finish the comeback attempt against his former team (the Cleveland Browns) in Week 2.
Mayfield put a nice throw on rookie receiver Ted Hurst after the lightning delay, but it wasn't meant to be. Getting in that position, in the first place, is part of the problem. Mayfield needs to pick it up.
11. Jayden Daniels, Commanders
Injuries have been absolutely ravaging the quarterback position around the NFL early this season, and one of the latest to go down is Commanders QB Jayden Daniels.
Daniels was playing pretty well in the first two games before going down with his latest injury, which is another extremely concerning one. Thankfully, Daniels isn't dealing with anything on his throwing arm, but he has a dislocated elbow on his non-throwing arm that could cause him to miss significant time.
Though, the Commanders aren't putting him on IR just yet, and seemingly not at all. It's a risky move for a player who is closing in on the dreaded label of "injury prone". We're going to have to see how things go for Marcus Mariota in his stead, but jobs are definitely on the line in Washington this year.
10. Jordan Love, Packers
No more benefit of the doubt for Jordan Love, or the Packers, for that matter. To say the start of the 2026 season has been disastrous for them would be an understatement.
They now have two NFC losses in their first three games, the offensive line can't block, the defense can't stop anybody, and the play of Jordan Love is suffering from it all. Love certainly has his share of blame when it comes to the struggles of the Packers, and had some of his worst throws of the season against Atlanta.
How much longer can he survive behind that offensive line? Why is there seemingly such a disconnect between Love and Matt LaFleur? Hopefully, for his and the Packers' sake, where we're at now is rock-bottom.
9. Jalen Hurts, Eagles
Jalen Hurts was clutch during a 4th-quarter comeback in Week 2, but it was against the Tennessee Titans.
I'm not really the type of person to discount wins in the NFL, because you have to beat who's in front of you. But let's consider some real facts right now with Hurts and the Eagles. They are currently 2-0, but they won against the Commanders in Week 1 with just 10 first downs offensively. It took a comeback in the late stages of the 4th quarter to beat Cam Ward and the Titans.
Jalen Hurts, at some point, is going to have to stop playing down to his competition and start looking like a difference-maker. That doesn't change the fact that the Eagles can win a lot of games with him, but it also means he's not going to be much higher than this on QB rankings lists if his play continues to be underwhelming.
