8. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Thanks to a pretty poor game plan and in-game execution from the Cowboys, the Baltimore Ravens were able to kick a game-winning field goal as time expired to beat Dallas in Brazil. Lamar Jackson didn’t have to do much - he went 15/20 for 185 yards and two touchdowns.
Future Hall of Fame running back Derrick Henry ended up with 26 carries and 89 yards. The neat thing with Jackson is that, perhaps more than other QBs, we have seen him be able to help his team win without doing a ton through the air, but on the flip side, he’s able to be a high-volume passer as well.
Jackson is also a future Hall of Famer and is the best dual-threat QB in the history of this league. As long as he’s healthy and on the field, the Ravens will be a threat in the AFC. You definitely want to see the Ravens be able to close out games more, but they’ll surely take a 2-1 start here in 2026.
In typical Jackson fashion, he added 50 rushing yards on a healthy 8.3 yards per carry. There just isn’t anything he can’t do, at least in the regular season. There’s not much more to say here. Jackson had another awesome game and continues to be among the very best at what he does.
7. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams seemed to do enough in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos, but the Broncos are nearly unbeatable at home, as they’ve lost just three games in front of the home crowd in the Nix era, so it is quite the feat.
Stafford ended up tossing two interceptions to safety Talanoa Hufanga, and you could argue that both were pretty shaky.
With that being said, Stafford has been and will continue to be among the best in the NFL. In what could be the best secondary in the NFL in Denver, Stafford still tossed 390 yards on just 30 completions. He had two touchdown passes as well.
You can’t really bump a QB down too much for a game like this - this was an absolute dogfight in what might be the toughest place to play in the NFL. Stafford and the Rams should still be viewed as a legitimate Super Bowl contender this year and will be able to bounce back here in the coming weeks.
