4. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars are a wagon. Lawrence wasn’t sensational in Week 3, but he was rock-solid, tossing three touchdowns and one interception on 19/29 passing with 182 yards.
Lawrence and the Jaguars have blown out both of their opponents at home this year in Cleveland and New England, putting up 30+ points in both outings.
The Jaguars have been throwing it all over the place since bout midway through the 2025 season. It’s clear that Lawrence and Liam Coen are seeing the offense come together, and with how efficient the team has been in two of three weeks this year, that Week 2 loss against Denver is clearly an outlier.
Lawrence finished the 2025 season as an MVP candidate, and I don’t see why that can’t be the case in 2026. He checks all the boxes for the team, and while Jacksonville doesn’t have the best offensive line, the rest of the unit is strong around him.
3. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
Give it up for Goff, man. His defense has let him down in a major way this year, as they can’t seem to stop a nosebleed, but the Detroit Lions are 2-1 on the season. Goff had another ho-hum performance, going 25/32 for 269 yards and two touchdowns.
Goff puts up these high-end performances with ease; it feels like. The Lions offensive line hasn’t been great this year, either, so while you could argue that Goff has a ton of quality personnel around him, the protection isn’t sensational.
Goff now has eight touchdown passes against zero interceptions and has had two straight games with a passer rating above 120, and all three of his outings this year have seen him at least carry a passer rating of 96.7. I understand if you don’t think Goff is among the very best in the league, but he’s been very good for much of his tenure with the Lions.
