30. Malik Willis, Miami Dolphins
For a second there, Malik Willis and the Miami Dolphins were not in a bad spot. They were trailing by just four points entering the fourth quarter, but Kansas City ended up pulling away, putting up 10 points in the final period.
Willis did lead the Dolphins with 56 rushing yards, but he wasn’t nearly good enough through the air, tossing just 210 yards on 36 attempts and adding an interception. Willis is in a tough spot in 2026, as the Dolphins don’t have much going for them on either side of the ball and might not win a game for a while.
They comfortably feel like the worst team in the AFC East right now and might just be the worst team in football as well. Outside of filling in nicely as the Green Bay backup in previous seasons, Willis has not really done much in the NFL and might only be a short-term option for the Dolphins to buy some time and bring in a more viable QB, likely in the 2027 or 2028 NFL Draft.
Through three games, Willis has one touchdown against two interceptions and has not eclipsed 220 passing yards in a game, but he’s not thrown for fewer than 197 yards, so he’s consistent if nothing else.
29. Kyler Murray, Minnesota Vikings
Kyler Murray and the Minnesota Vikings are now 3-0 on the season, but it has not been pretty. A 23-16 victory for the Vikings in Week 3 was not without some iffy QB play. Murray did miss some time recently due to a concussion, and it’s clear he’s still working his way through this offense.
Murray finished the afternoon going 15/29 for 168 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. It was a bad outing for the veteran QB, but he’ll play better as the season goes on and as he gets more reps with this offense.
At best, Murray can be someone who can rack up around 30-ish total touchdowns and finish with a passer rating in the mid-90s. He’s got that capability and could help Minnesota sneak back into the playoffs as long as he isn’t horrible.
And, honestly, while Murray has never been great, he’s also never really been bad. If he can finish this year as the, let’s say, 18th-best QB in the NFL, the Vikings likely have 10 or 11 wins coming and a Wild Card berth.
Despite the Week 3 win, though, there is a lot to clean up and get better at.
