22. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

Last week: 18th

Jalen Hurts is unfortunately one of the biggest “fallers” of the week in this week’s QB Power Rankings. You can give some passes when he atones for rough games with big plays, but what we saw from Hurts against the Los Angeles Rams was simply unacceptable.

The Eagles’ defense was the reason their game against the Rams was so close, because the offense was an absolutely abysmal 0-for-12 on third downs in this game, they had just 172 total yards from scrimmage, and Hurts himself was atrocious on the final drive of the game.

His internal clock was simply non-existent as he took two sacks to open what could have been a game-winning drive. The Rams got home for coverage sacks when Hurts had to do whatever it takes to not take sacks in that moment.

After accounting for the 25 yards lost on sacks, Hurts finished this game with just 63 net yards passing. Even one of Hurts’s two touchdown passes in this game seemingly phased through a Rams defender who had a shot at an interception.

The luster of the Super Bowl win is wearing off.

21. Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts

Last week: 20th

After starting the season a disappointing 0-2, the Colts have responded well to get back to 2-2 and in the mix in both the AFC South and AFC Wild Card race.

Although, to be fair, it’s early to be talking Wild Card.

Still, wins were the non-negotiable outcome of the past two weeks, and Daniel Jones has helped lead the Colts to a couple of wins in a row, including a nice little fourth-quarter outburst in London against the Commanders.

Jones will make his mistakes as a quarterback. He threw an interception and lost a fumble against the Commanders, but he also lowered his shoulder and ran for a touchdown, and he hands the ball off to Jonathan Taylor beautifully.

While the Colts as a team are certainly in the “TBD” category this season, there is no question that Daniel Jones is unpredictable week-to-week, which is why he’s down here in our QB Power Rankings. But you can win with him, and that’s what matters.
