18. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos

Last week: 11th

Although Bo Nix has been one of the most clutch quarterbacks in the NFL since he got into the league in 2024, he’s also been one of the most disappointing quarterbacks in the NFL in 2026.

Nix has not shown the type of improvement in his 3rd season that many expected, especially with the Broncos going out and acquiring Jaylen Waddle.

After injuring his ankle in the Divisional Round win over Buffalo last year, there were questions going into this season about what version of Nix we would see. So far, it’s been some of what we’re used to with the late comebacks and heroic moments. It’s also been a lot of struggling to push the ball downfield, struggling to get the offense humming in any way, shape, or form.

Nix has to be better than what we’ve seen during the Broncos’ 2-2 start to the season. They’ve faced a brutal schedule, and some great defenses, but the Denver offense has no identity or balance right now. They need the version of Nix that shows up in the 2nd half of games to show up from the opening kickoff.

17. Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers

Last week: 16th

After the first two weeks of the season, it looked like Aaron Rodgers was basically just going to sleepwalk through the 2026 season.

The last two games have flipped the script entirely.

Although Rodgers is still not the most nimble (sacked 5 times against Cleveland), he still threw three touchdown passes and made some vintage throws down the field in this game against Cleveland.

To reiterate what we’ve been saying all year, however, even when this Steelers team gives their best effort, it feels like they are going to be a day late and a dollar short most of the season. Rodgers might be more capable of “willing” his team to victory than initially thought after the first two games this season, but it’s going to be tough for this team to stay competitive throughout the season in a loaded division.

And if the team isn’t winning games, how long is the relationship going to last between Rodgers and Mike McCarthy?
