6. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

Last week: 8th

Jordan Love is playing absolutely outstanding football the past couple of weeks. And if you were really watching in the first few weeks of the season, it’s nothing new.

Earlier on this season, the pressure being allowed by the Packers’ offensive line was enough to make any quarterback around the league absolutely crumble. The fact that Love played as well as he did is a testament to his abilities.

Simply put, Love is one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in the NFL. There is no part of the field he can’t throw it to with pinpoint accuracy, and he’s not only great from the pocket, but he can beat you with his mobility as well. He’s capable of going cold, just like any other quarterback around the league, but when he’s hot, he’s hot.

Toyotathon didn’t start early, did it?

5. Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers

Last week: 5th

Brock Purdy plays on MNF vs. Commanders***

There aren’t many quarterbacks in the NFL truly playing better and more consistent football so far this season than Brock Purdy of the 49ers.

And on Monday night, he’s got another chance on a national stage to show the NFL world what he’s capable of.

What makes Purdy such a special player? Aside from having great accuracy to all levels of the field, he doesn’t get enough credit for the way he navigates the pocket so well. You hear about how he has only been sacked three times all season (all in one game), and that is really a joint effort between the 49ers’ offensive scheme, their offensive line, and Purdy’s ability to feel pressure and get out of the pocket.

He’s one of the best in the league at navigating pressure in the pocket, keeping his eyes downfield, and finding an open receiver. We’ll see how he fares against the Commanders’ struggling defense on Monday night. He already has 14 total TDs this season (13 passing, 1 rushing).
