26. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers

Last week: 27th

At this point, you almost just feel bad for Justin Herbert. I am not going to pretend to know who is on the 53-man roster and practice squad for every single team in the league just off of memory, but it’s also rather shocking when someone catches a pass from a quarterback in Week 6, and I’m left wondering, “Who was that again?”

Justin Herbert’s supporting cast is downright terrible. That doesn’t excuse some of the absolute meatball subs he’s wuipping up and throwing to the other team, but that’s how heavy the burden of responsibility is upon his shoulders.

It’s just not working for Herbert and the Chargers. It’s downright upsetting, and it could lead to some wholesale changes of the coaching staff. Could Jim Harbaugh be on the hot seat? Could Justin Herbert be getting yet another head coach?

25. Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals

Last week: 26th

The Arizona Cardinals did it. They pulled off yet another massive upset at SoFi Stadium.

It’s not accurate to say that Jacoby Brissett was a spectator for this game, but certainly the heavy lifting was done by the Arizona Cardinals’ defense.

So what about Brissett? I feel like we say the same thing nearly every single week when it comes to him. He really just is what he is at this point. The Cardinals had 14 passing first downs against the Rams, and he didn’t take any sacks.

Although the Cardinals were 0-for-5 in red zone trips, their scoring drives were obviously the difference in this game. It wasn’t the greatest performance we’ve ever seen from Brissett, but the job was done.
