17. Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers
Aaron Rodgers is not doing anything overly spectacular right now, but he’s a veteran who can manage a game with the best of them.
Rodgers had 172 yards and an interception in the Steelers’ win over the Cleveland Browns, and it’s becoming apparent that Jaylen Warren is the offensive MVP of this team.
Still, we’ve seen Rodgers have some really solid games this season. He’s just not the athlete he once was. His total EPA this season is -44.19 (59/61 qualifiers), so the analytics don’t really like his performance in 2026 at all.
16. Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks
Out of all 61 quarterbacks to play a snap so far this season, Sam Darnold currently ranks 47th in total EPA.
He’s made some ridiculous throws amidst the struggles, but Darnold has also made a lot of really bad, reckless mistakes with the football. He’s effectively played five games this season (knocked out early in Week 1), and has 8 TDs and 8 interceptions. Four of those touchdowns came in one game against Washington.
There’s plenty of room for improvement for Darnold. The loss of Kenneth Walker has been extremely impactful on the Seattle offense overall (not to mention Klint Kubiak). I’m still of the opinion that Darnold has rewritten a higher floor for himself as a player.
15. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
Bo Nix has become one of the most polarizing players in the NFL over the last couple of years, and it’s understandable. If there was an award for being the most consistent player in the league playing the position, Nix would not win that award. If there was an award for being the most clutch player in the league, he might win that.
Nix shows up when the Broncos need him the most, and it’s truly a sight to behold. Once again, he put his best foot forward with the Broncos’ backs against the wall, down 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
If the Broncos could figure out how to get Nix playing on-schedule from the first drive of a game, they might start blowing teams out.
Nix has the talent, but it comes back to consistency. His clutch factor can’t be ignored, but neither can his flaws. More will be asked of him as time goes on.
