2024 NFL Draft: Full first-round mock draft with trades
5. Los Angeles Chargers - Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
This is where I think the 2024 NFL Draft could get interesting. The Los Angeles Chargers' roster is not nearly as good as some people seem to think it is. They need to do some cap gymnastics, and I think it's possible that WRs Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are not on the team in 2024. Even if they are, the Chargers could use another pass catcher.
They could also use a ton of help on defense. With the franchise embarking on a search to replace Brandon Staley and Tom Telesco, I think the new regime could stand pat with the fifth overall pick and land a blue-chip, cornerstone prospect, which is why I am mocking stud TE Brock Bowers to the team.
The Chargers offense would instantly take a huge step forward with Bowers in the mix, and Justin Herbert would finally have a young and reliable weapon on offense.
6. New York Giants - Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
The New York Giants have the best group of WR3's in the entire NFL. They need a true alpha in that room, and LSU has been a wide receiver factory for years. The Giants field trade-down offers, but ultimately decide to stay put at No. 6 and select Malik Nabers, a stud from LSU.
