3. Carolina Panthers can't hang their hats on anything in 2023

Talk about a mess. The Carolina Panthers are one of the worst teams the NFL has seen in years. Nothing is working for this club, and they canned former head coach Frank Reich after just 11 games. Reich became one of only a handful of other head coaches to be fired in their first season.

Carolina is 1-11 on the season, which obviously gives them the first overall pick in 2024, right? Wrong! Their first-round pick in 2024 belongs to the Chicago Bears. The Panthers traded a haul of picks and players to move up to be able to take Bryce Young, who looks thoroughly overwhelmed in his rookie season.

And since fellow rookie QB CJ Stroud is tearing it up, Young is getting a lot more negative attention. With the Panthers not having their first-round pick in 2024 and needing a ton of help on offense, this team is just in a tough spot. The team has the 29th-ranked scoring offense and 31st-ranked scoring defense. Yuck.

And I get that Bryce Young isn' all at fault for this bad offense, but man, he doesn't exactly show many flashes, does he?
