Broncos 7-round 2024 NFL mock draft: Ideal class to contend with Chiefs
4. 121st overall: Jaylan Ford, LB, Texas
Denver Broncos GM George Paton said this offseason that he wants to get more "athletic" at the linebacker position. Texas' Jaylan Ford certainly would fit the bill. At 6-foot-2 (and change), 240 pounds, Ford was all over the field the last couple of years at Texas, racking up 220 total tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss, 6 interceptions, and four forced fumbles.
5. 136th overall: Luke McCaffrey, WR, Rice
There's a little bit of fan service with this pick as Luke McCaffrey's dad -- Ed McCaffrey -- was a Super Bowl champion at the wide receiver position for the Broncos in their glory days back in the 90s. Having a legacy in Denver now in 2024 would absolutely thrill the fan base.
And McCaffrey's got some legitimate chops. He's a converted QB who is athletic and tough at the catch point. He would be a great pickup for this Broncos roster.
6. 145th overall: Mason McCormick, OL, South Dakota State
The Denver Broncos lost center Lloyd Cushenberry III this offseason and could be doing some reshuffling on the interior offensive line. Whether he plays guard or tackle at the next level, McCormick was outstanding at South Dakota State and posted an elite athletic score at the Scouting Combine.
