9. Mike Evans

Toward the end of Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans sustained a hip injury and left the game. The team from the California Bay Area already had the game under control, making Evans less likely to return anyway. The good news on the veteran pass-catcher is that head coach Kyle Shanahan said in his post-game press conference that Evan was fine; as such, he might not miss any time due to the hip.

8. Jadarian Price

The promising rookie running back for the Seattle Seahawks, Jadarian Price, left Sunday’s game with what was initially labeled a chest injury. However, on Monday, the diagnosis changed to a problem with his shoulder. The good news is that head coach Mike Macdonald said that everything was intact and the injury is not deemed serious.

That is a phenomenal first step for Price heading into Week 3. While Price could miss the upcoming game if there is an issue with pain tolerance, he is not expected to miss much time due to the injury. If the rookie running back misses time, expect George Holani and Emanuel Wilson to carry an increased role in the offense and form a committee at the position until Price returns to the lineup.

7. Saquon Barkley

During the close win for the Philadelphia Eagles over the Tennessee Titans, Eagles running back Saquon Barkley left the game early with what is being called a stinger. The former 2,000-yard rusher said during his postgame press conference that he will have an MRI done to see what, if any, damage he sustained on Sunday. The running back said he felt alright, which does not give much of an outlook either way for his availability moving forward.

In Barkley’s absence from the game, backup running back Tank Bigsby assumed a larger role in the offense. Additionally, Will Shipley came in when Bigsby needed a rest. If Barkley misses any time with the stinger, expect the starting running back to be Bigsby and Shipley to rotate in with him to form a committee.
