6. Denver Broncos running back room

Before the Denver Broncos faced off against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, running back RJ Harvey was ruled out of the game with a hamstring injury. Hamstring issues seem to linger, but considering he was ruled out just before the game, and not on Friday, as most injured players are for the week, Harvey might be back in action next week. That would be amazing news for Denver, considering the Broncos lost another running back during the game.

J.K. Dobbins suffered a hamstring injury of his own on Sunday and did not return. What this did was allow rookie running back Jonah Coleman to take over the lead back role, and he looked pretty good in his relief work. If Dobbins and/or Harvey miss next week, expect Coleman to have an increased role in the offense until they return to the lineup.

5. Ashton Jeanty

Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty sustained an ankle injury during the preseason and seemed to have re-aggravated the ailment during Sunday’s victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. While it is unknown if Jeanty will miss time, it would be smart for the Raiders to give the running back some time to rest up and recover so this does not linger any further into the season. Rookie running back Mike Washington Jr., who had an excellent preseason, will be in line to take starting snaps if Jeanty misses any time moving forward.

4. Jayden Reed

The Green Bay Packers lost one of its top wide receivers, Jayden Reed, early in the win over the New York Jets on Sunday. The scene was horrifying as Reed was placed on a board and carted off the field. The good news is that head coach Matt LaFleur said that his wide receiver had full movement of his body during the postgame press conference.

There is never a clear timeline for when players will come back from such a scary injury like the one Reed had on Sunday. As such, he could miss some time or none at all. What matters is that he has full mobility and is working on getting himself healthy.
