8. Lamar Jackson

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson suffered an ankle injury heading into halftime and did not return for the remainder of the game. However, not all is bad on the injury front for the former two-time MVP, as head coach Kevin Minter said there were discussions of putting Jackson back into the game. As of now, it seems as if Jackson being held out may have been precautionary, and he is deemed day-to-day; if he misses any time, Tyler Huntley will step in, much as he did this weekend.

9. Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver room

Kansas City Chiefs top wide receiver, Rashee Rice, left the game in the first quarter after pulling up with a hamstring injury. Rice never returned to the game, and given the nature of hamstring injuries, it would not be a surprise if he misses a bit of time in the immediate future. However, that was not the only impactful injury to the Chiefs’ wide receiver group this weekend.

The man who stepped up for Kansas City, wide receiver Tyquan Thornton, suffered a gruesome ankle injury that looked like it could be one he might not return from for the remainder of the season, as he left on a cart while being administered an air cast. Neither player has a timeline for a return to action, but it seems that the Chiefs could be looking for multiple wide receivers to step up for the team heading into Week 6, as Kansas City is on bye next week. Look for Xavier Worthy to be heavily involved in the game plan if that is the case.

10. Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver room

Cincinnati Bengals superstar wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase suffered a concussion early in Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. As concussions are one of those ailments that everyone recovers from at varying rates, it is unknown when the, debatably, best wide receiver in the entire league could return to game action, as it depends on how quickly he can progress through the protocol. However, Chase was not the only Bengals wide receiver to sustain an injury on Sunday.

Tee Higgins picked up an adductor injury late in the matchup and left the game due to the ailment. As of the time of writing, there is no timetable for his return, meaning he might not miss time. If one of the receivers is out for Week 5, expect for the other to be hyper-targeted; however, if both happen to be out next week, expect the tight end room to haul in the bulk of the targets from Joe Burrow next weekend.
