Marshawn Lynch, Reggie Bush Injury Updates

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is listed questionable this week after not practicing on Thursday due to a calf injury, but he was able to get in a full practice on Friday. His status for today’s game against the dangerous Kansas City Chiefs isn’t in a huge amount of doubt, but there’s still a small chance he could be held out of today’s game. I don’t anticipate that happening, since Lynch almost always misses some practice here-and-there, but what gives some people pause is the fact that the Seahawks are listing Lynch as questionable instead of probable.

More from Detroit Lions

The NFL Network’s Albert Breer reports that “teammates and friends” expect Lynch to play today after having a “strong” practice on Friday, and I have a feeling that Breer is getting info from more people than just Lynch’s “teammates and friends”. I think we’ll most likely see him out there, especially since he’s absolutely vital to the Seahawks success. They would not be playing well without him, and his four-touchdown, 140-yard performance against the New York Giants last week was a huge key to their blowout victory (the scoreline was close for most of the game).

Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush is dealing with a nagging ankle injury, and I can’t find anyone who expects Bush to suit up for today’s big game against the Arizona Cardinals. You can add the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport to the list of people reporting that he isn’t expected to suit up, and this gameday report is even strong than that. Per a source close to Rapoport, Bush will not play today but is expected to return for next week’s even bigger matchup against the New England Patriots.
