This past season, there were the 12 teams that earned playoff appearances.

There were also seven other clubs that finished the 2014 season with non-losing records that didn’t qualify for the postseason.

Now we are finally down to an unfortunate baker’s dozen of clubs that all lost more games than they won.

It’s 19 teams down and 13 to go and it is the New Orleans Saints who we will now focus on when it comes to their 5 Best Offseason Moves series to date.

For the second time in three years, the team from the Crescent City finished with a 7-9 record. Only this time, head coach Sean Payton was at the helm and not suspended for the year as was the case in 2012.

The Saints’ defense fell on its face this past season and even more mystifying was the team’s inability to in at home. The Superdome wasn’t Payton’s place as his club dropped its final five home contests.

There will be a lot of changes on that defensive side of the ball. So let’s not waste any time.
