The Minnesota Vikings take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6 of the 2015 season. Fresh off the bye week, the Vikings (2-2) are poised to make the leap to above .500 on the season.

The Chiefs (1-4) will be no easy out, however. A perennial playoff contender, Kansas City is much better than the record suggests.

In particular, the Chiefs’ 13th ranked rushing defense could prove difficult, even with Adrian Peterson in the backfield for the Vikings. The Vikings offense is coming along nicely with Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback, but it still flows through the run game. Currently, the Vikings have the 13th most rushing attempts in the league and are 30th in passing attempts.

The matchup against the Chiefs may come down to Teddy Bridgewater and the passing game, however. The Chiefs are the 27th ranked passing defense and the Vikings are the 32nd ranked passing offense. A weakness against weakness may be in order for the Vikings to come out on top.

We’ll examine four steps necessary to beating the Chiefs here. While they may not all need to be accomplished in order to win, if all of them are then the Vikings will be in much better shape and far more capable of winning this game.
